MARAH
VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE
GILGIT CITY, PAKISTAN
The Centre was built on a simple but powerful belief: that access to quality, practical training can transform lives. By equipping women and unemployed or informally educated youth with internationally recognized skills and certifications, we are not just teaching trades, we are opening doors to economic independence, creative expression, and lasting dignity.
WHAT WE OFFER
Our flagship cosmetology program provides comprehensive, hands-on training in hair care, cutting, colouring, and styling. Students graduate with a strong technical foundation and the confidence to launch careers in salons, build independent businesses, or serve their communities. Upon successful completion, graduates will receive internationally recognized certification through City and Guilds, a credential respected across borders and industries.
01 / COSMETOLOGY
PROGRAM
From skincare and facial treatments to nail care and spa therapies, our aesthetics program trains students in the full spectrum of beauty and wellness services. With growing demand for qualified aestheticians across Pakistan and the broader region, this program opens meaningful pathways to professional practice and entrepreneurship.
02 / AESTHETICS PROGRAM
The Karighar program is a celebration of the rich artisanal heritage of the Gilgit-Baltistan region. Students learn the art of traditional embroidery, intricate beadwork, and handcrafted textile design led by locally renowned experts in their craft. These skills passed down through generations, are now elevated through structured training and connected to modern markets. Graduates leave with both a trade and a deep pride in their cultural identity.
03 / KARIGHAR TRADITIONAL HANDICRAFTS PROGRAM
Drawing on the extraordinary abundance of Gilgit-Baltistan's orchards and harvests, our fruit preservation program teaches students the art and science of producing jams, jellies, preserves, and other value-added food products. This practical, entrepreneurially oriented program equips participants with skills they can apply immediately, whether in their own kitchens, at local markets, or in small food enterprises.

05/ COMMUNITY
PROGRAMS
The Marah Vocational Training Centre is more than a school, it is a community hub. Alongside our core vocational programs, the Centre offers a range of open-access programs available to all members of the community, including English language training, foundational mathematics, and wellness and yoga classes. These programs reflect our commitment to whole-person development and our belief that learning, in all its forms, should be available to everyone.
